About Electric Tour Company
San Francisco is a city best understood by getting out into it—crossing neighborhoods, climbing hills, finding the right Golden Gate Bridge viewpoint, hearing the stories behind the landmarks and occasionally discovering something you never planned to see.
That has been the idea behind Electric Tour Company since 2004.
We started as one of San Francisco’s early Segway sightseeing operators and spent nearly two decades introducing visitors from around the world to the city in a completely different way. The vehicles have changed over the years, but our favorite part of the job has not: helping people experience San Francisco in a way that is fun, personal and memorable.
Today, ElectricTourCompany.com has evolved into a San Francisco travel, attraction and sightseeing resource, bringing together local destination guides, trip-planning advice and recommendations for private small-group tours throughout San Francisco and beyond.
When Electric Tour Company began offering Segway tours in 2004, riding one through San Francisco felt almost futuristic.
For 19 years, our guides introduced thousands of guests to Fisherman’s Wharf, the waterfront, Golden Gate Park, the hills, neighborhoods and landmarks of San Francisco.
Eventually, it was time for the next chapter.
Segway tours ended, and electric scooter rentals that followed are also no longer available through Electric Tour Company in San Francisco.
But we never stopped exploring the city.
Instead, our sightseeing experience expanded into new ways for private groups to discover San Francisco—including open-top Jeep tours and electric Tuk Tuk tours.
