Scooters require side to side balance similar to riding a bike. We strongly suggest that all guests have bike riding experience.
If you do not have bike riding experience this might not be the best activity for you.
All riders are required to wear a helmet and bright colored reflective safety vest.
NOTE: If you have never ridden a bike this may not be the activity for you. The equipment recap and skills overview session provides riders with a quick overview of the scooter controls, knowledge, and experience needed to safely operate the Scooters. You will be guided through a low speed ride and an emergency stop to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.
Due to time limits we cannot NOT provide riders with no previous bike riding experience with a full training on riding and balancing on a scooter. We do provide a recap of the scooter controls and a short ride at low speed to practice before departing for the route.
Each Scooter is equipped with a speed lever and a brake lever on the handlebars.
On some hills the scooter will require a bit of "kick" to maintain momentum. The electric motors are helpful on the hills but are not strong enough to propel heavier guests up some slopes. Be prepared to kick.
